Burning Tips

Candle safety is very important to us. There are many things you can do to increase the candle burn
time and the fragrance throw of your candles. Please follow these safety instructions when burning any candles. Lead wicks are no longer allowed in the United States. Our company has never used lead wicks. All of our wicks have a zinc core. We have tried a wide variety of wicks, the zinc core prove to be the most reliable candle wicks

  • Keep wicks trimmed to 1/4"
  • Snuff the flame out or use a wick dipper to extinguish
  • Don't let the candle burn dry, this could cause the glass to crack
  • Burn votives in a tight fitting votive holder
  • Pillars and bakery candles need to be burned on aplate or pillar holder
  • Keep out of drafts
  • Keep debris out of the wax

All pillars candles must be burned on a pillar holder or plate. You can find clear pillar holders at most dollar stores. There are many decorative pillar holders available. If you would like us to carry some unique tin or metal pillar holders, drop us an email.

Votives will liquefy when being burned, so they need to be in a appropriate holder. A straight sided holder is preferred. The votive will burn better and longer.
