Jar Candles

(all candles are made with paraffin wax, unless indicated otherwise)

The best scent throw comes from a jar or container candle. Jar candles have a low melt point wax which enhances the scent throw and will provide a long burning candle. Proper wick sizing is the biggest challenge any candle maker has. We go through an extensive quality assurance program to ensure jar containers burn evenly across the entire jar. There is nothing more frustrating than tunneling down the middle and leaving all that awesome fragranced wax along the sides.

Tunneling occurs when the wick is undersized or if there are air pockets/holes in the jar. We go through an extra process to eliminate the air pockets in all our candles. When you are ready to extinguish your jar candle, please use a wick dipper to push the wick into the melt pool, then pull it back out. By doing this, you eliminate smoke from the wick and it coats the wick with wax to give the candle a good start on the next burn.

You also need to keep your wicks trimmed to about 1/4" If you use scissors, they will eventually wear down because of cutting the wick, which includes a zinc core. We use large finger nail clippers to trim our wicks during our manufacturing process.
